Wildlife Tourism Australia at Green Day Out
Gecko ran another successful Green Day Out at Broadbeach (Gold Coast, Qeensland) last Saturday despite it being a rather grey (and wet) day
It was quite a relief when the wind stopped making the fliers fly, the rain stopped coming in under the roofs of the gazebos and the sun made brief appearances.
Wildlife Tourism Australia was represented this year and quite a few folk stopped for a chat and to pick up brochures – especially from Tasmania or Queensland, and a few took fliers on the sustainability ideals of WTA
WTA member Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary also had a stall, including some Segway cycles that visitors enjoyed trying out. Other stalls included organic foods of various kinds, hot coffee (very welcome), organic beauty products, permaculture, Gold Coast City Council and several others – all of course with an environmental theme.
