(4 nights, which most delegates will want will cost 4/3 x the 3-night price, and if any decide to stay 7 nights, they have told us we can have the 7th night for $30)

Assuming just one person in each bedroom, the 4-night cost will be $72.50 per person per night for a -2bedroom unit and $65 per person per night in a 3-bedroom unit.
Of course, if two people share the same bedroom  (the only way the units will accommodate 4 or 6 persons respectively) the price per person will be half of the above
Sanctuary Lakes is nice positioned between the conference venue (Currumbin Sanctuary and the beach near Vikings (our venue for the opening cocktails and a good option also for breakfast and dinner)
The committee and several delegates will be staying here.  Let us know ASAP if you would like to do so – we may qualify for a discount

Other 2- and 3- bedroom options

(Contact them directly, or through wotif or similar)

There are a few other possibilities, but those above are the closest to the workshop.
At least one of our delegates is also staying at Bay of Palms, Elanora, involving a 10-minute walk and 10-minute bus-ride (we will also have some capacity to provide lifts)

Single-room

The Rocks Hotel

The Rocks Hotel, as seen from near Vikings

The Rocks Resort

This 4-star resort just across the road from the beach  is the only single-bedroom accommodation within easy walking distance: 5 minutes from Vikings (our cocktails venue and also offering breakfast and dinner, but the Rocks also has a restaurant), and 10 minutes from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (the Workshop venue).
We can also provide a pickup (and return) by minibus each day.
We may be able to secure a discount if enough who wish to stay here contact us ASAP. Otherwise book directly with the hotel, or with wotif etc.
There are various hotels and other accommodation venues  (from budget to luxury) a short bus ride (or even shorter taxi ride)  away, especially at Palm Beach just to the north and Coolangatta just to the south. Many of the  regular buses (running all day and much of the evening)  stop either right by the door of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary or just around the corner. Try searching wotif or similar online booking agencies for specials and a map of where the accommodation sites are, and use http://translink.com.au/ to find out how easy it is to get from the accommodation to the Sanctuary.

Hostels

Coolangatta Sands Hotel and Backpacker Hostel

Coolangatta Sands Hotel, Restaurant and Backpacker Hostel

For shoestring budgets there is the Coolangatta Sands (just 15 minutes south of Currumbin by bus), and if you would like to stay on for an extra week after the workshop, this venue has a special on-going deal with Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary whereby you can do some volunteering at the Sanctuary from Sunday through to the following Saturday. It is also just across the road from Cooly dives, which can take you SCUBA diving or snorkelling before or after the workshop. It is also a short walk to Coolangatta Beach.

Other hostels include Coolangatta YHA (short bus-ride), or several at Surfers Paradise and Southport (longer bus-rides).

Could I get some details on possible accommodation for the workshop please. Something cheap and close enough to walk to/from the venue. Single room.

    Cheers. Tom

      Hi Tom

There are two main budget options, which we’ll be providing more details on soon on this pageL

      1. sharing a 3-bedroom apartment with shared facilities just around the corner (about $70 pp if one person per bedroom, less if prepared to share a bedroom)

2.Coolangatta Sands YHA, a short bus ride away – and the buses stop right outside the entry to Currumbin WIldlife Sanctuary, and run practically all day
